DID YOU KNOW?  "Studies show that one in three children have unsafe levels of lead in their blood (22,000,000 American children under 18 years old with blood lead levels of 2.5 micrograms per deciliter or higher!)"
Lead affects virtually every system in the body. Small amounts of lead in the body can do serious harm to the developing brain and nervous system of a young child. With a blood lead level as low as 10 mcg/dL (micrograms per deciliter), a child’s learning and behavior may be affected.
Children may be exposed to lead-based paint or lead-contaminated dust in their homes or pick it up from the soil outside.
